한대수 (Han Dae Su)
Considered one of the first hippies of South Korea, Han Dae Su brought the long hair and acoustic guitar culture of the US to him home country. Initially shocking the public with his out-of-the-ordinary appearance on television, he is well remembered today as the king of Korean folk rock. Starting his career with the loud, scratchy vocal song 물 좀 주소 (Give Me Some Water), he quickly became one of the leading figures in the youth rebellion. First pressings of 70s Han Dae Su albums are very hard to find and incredibly expensive, thus most of my collection consists of 80s represses.
