신중현 (Shin Joong Hyun)
Starting his career performing for American soldiers in army bases during the mid-to-late 1950s, Shin Joong Hyun quickly made a name for himself and is considered the godfather of Korean rock. Not only did he launch a ton of successful and important bands such as "The Add4", "Shin Joong Hyun & Yup Juns", and "Shin Joong Hyun & Music Power", he also started the careers of many popular singers.
